cool, hip; expression of agreement
"Macanudo" can be used in two ways. One is an expression of agreement:
P1: "Te llamo mañana" (I will call you tomorrow)
P2: "Macanudo" (Okay, great)
The other is to describe someone as cool, hip or easy going. "Te va a caer bien mi amigo. Es macanudo". (You're going to like my friend. He's cool.)
The origins of this word are largely unknown. Despite its current popularity in Argentina, in other countries such as Chile it may sound old fashioned.
